Thanksgiving Counting Clip Cards for Preschool

These Thanksgiving theme counting clip cards will help your preschooler or pre-k student learn the numbers and improve their fine motor skills.

Count and clip cards help your child develop their subitizing skills. Subitizing is the ability to instantly recognize small quantities without consciously counting them (for example, how you immediately know that you rolled a 3 on a die).

Print and laminate the pages, then cut out the cards. The cards are four to a page and easy to cut with a paper cutter or scissors. I recommend a sturdy paper like cardstock for repeated use. I personally use something called presentation paper - a heavyweight paper with a special coating for bright, beautiful images. Have your child mark the correct number with a clothespin.

To challenge your child's coordination and fine motor skills, you can have them mark the numbers with small manipulatives like counting bears or pompoms. Have them use tongs to transfer the manipulatives to the cards for a real mental and fine motor skill workout!
